Week 11

Gosho Aoyama:

"Detective Conan," also known as "Case Closed," is a long-running Japanese anime series based on the manga by Gosho Aoyama. Although Gosho Aoyama was not the Director of the animated movies for Detective Conan, he was often the Executive Producer and Lead Animator(for initial sketches). His style consists of simple color shapes to form highlights and shadows and strongly defined linework.

The school depicted in the series closely aligns with the vision we have for our project, specifically the creation of a stylized classroom environment. Moreover, the series holds a special place in our hearts, as most of us grew up watching it. This personal connection adds an extra layer of motivation and enthusiasm to our project.

Finalize assets

Yu found this beautiful assets that closely resemble our vision for the project. However, we thought the tables and chairs layout would be problematic for the player to walk around. It's basically a little maze in the classroom. The player collision would be constantly hitting the desk collider, and ended up not moving as free as they should when exploring the environment.

Luckily, there's a room on a smaller scale with significantly more space for the player to move around. So we decided to move on to setting up the VR project using this scene.
